Product: officejet 8710
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I bought HP's 8710 office jet over the Canon and Epson equivalent two years ago because all the information I could find online said I could refill the cartridges.This has been the case and I have had no complaints with the printer, until now. The latest firmware update is now preventing my printer from recognizing cartridges that have been refilled.

 

I found a post on this forum that had a work around but HP has since blocked access to the page on their site that has the proper rtu file to downgrade the firmware.

 

Does anyone have a copy of the rtu file. Or would HP like to take responsibility for again violating their customers right and help me continue to use their product? I can buy a new Canon or Epson printer with full cartridges from Costco for the same amount it'll cost me to purchase new HP cartridges alone.

 

Please help this is incredibly frustrating.
