Your best option is to go into the pre-boot menu and perform a partial clean on the harddrive. This clears all the old settings from the previous owner and returns the unit to out of box condition. Power off the device, power on the device and watch the control panel. You will see an HP logo top center. When you see a numeric count start, immediately touch the logo which will bring up a blue screen. It is under the administration menu. You can also find these instructions in the firmware readme file if you go to support.hp.com and search for updates for your device. I strongly recommend that you are using at least FS4 4.11.2.3 or FutureSmart 5.4

Thank you I appreciate the response.  But can you give me a step by step to do the partial reboot. I can’t find the readme file…. I have upgraded the firmware but that’s it.  Thank you !

UPDATE. I ended up reinstalling the original Firmware. For some reason if i updated the Firmware to 4.1 OR 5.4 it would give me that error message 49.38.03 >>> Not Sure why.

In some cases updating to a higher level can causes issues and what you need to do is format the drive in the pre-boot menu and then download the new firmware so that it is a fresh install not an upgrade.

Hmm ok I can try that.  How hard is that to do?

Also I did get nee ink for it today and installed that.  All error messages are gone but it won’t print anything out.  Not sure what to do next
