Hello,

I am Vick and here to need or share some info, as we know that we need secure WIFI connection to do wireless printing,

However i come to know with one unique but common issue,

What if we do not have any secure WIFI connection or there is no WIFI or Network Security or Secure WIFI,

My Friend at HIKE CARE INC

He do not have any secure WIFI and they use public WIFI or common WIFI for all,

He live in his Dorm and want to print from a wireless printer, obvious he can't connect to the Common wifi, 530-virtual-wifi.jpg

So we want to know is there any way to connect HP wireless Printer directly to the Laptop,

Mean there should be a Two way connection not three way, Like not Printer WIFI Router and Computer but ,

Printer to Laptop,

@VickyVIck, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Yes, you are right. printers cannot work on a guest or an open network. And yes, a 2-way connection is possible. You can connect the printer and the computer using wifi-direct.

This method is used when you do not have access to a wireless router.

The default password is 12345678. Note: There will be no internet connection on the computer while using wifi-direct.

Kindly refer to this document to know how to print using wifi-direct - Printing with Wi-Fi Direct.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
