Hi @Renosterkim,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to perform a factory reset on an HP DeskJet Plus 4120 All-In-One Printer, follow these steps:

Turn on the Printer: Ensure the printer is powered on.

Access the Printer Menu: On the printer's control panel, touch or tap the "Setup" icon (it looks like a gear).

Navigate to the Printer Maintenance Menu:

  • Use the arrow keys or touch screen to navigate to "Printer Maintenance" or "Tools."

Select "Restore Default Settings":

  • Look for an option that says "Restore Default Settings" or "Factory Reset."
  • Confirm your selection if prompted.

Wait for the Reset to Complete: The printer will reset and restart. This process may take a few minutes.

Once the reset is complete, you'll need to reconnect the printer to your laptop via the internet. Here’s how you can do that:

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • Go to the printer’s control panel and select "Wireless" or "Wi-Fi" setup.
  • Choose "Wireless Setup Wizard" or a similar option to search for your Wi-Fi network.
  • Select your network and enter the Wi-Fi password.

Install the Printer Software:

  • On your laptop, download the latest HP printer software from the HP Support website.
  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Choose the option to set up the printer over a wireless network when prompted.

Complete the Setup:

  • The software will search for the printer on your network. Select your printer from the list and complete the setup.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
