Hi @Miketee007

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

To add Wi-Fi capability to your HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M577 printer, you need additional hardware or setup, as this model primarily connects via Ethernet. I would request you to please follow the steps:

Check Compatibility

  • Confirm your M577 supports a wireless accessory (HP Jetdirect 2800w NFC/Wireless Direct).

  • Update firmware if needed from HP’s support page.

Connect via Ethernet First

  • Plug the printer into your network with an Ethernet cable.

  • Power on and confirm the connection.

Access Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • On the printer, find its IP address (Network Settings → View IP).

  • Enter that IP in a web browser on a computer on the same network.

Configure Wireless (if available)

  • In EWS, go to Networking → Wireless Setup.

  • Select your Wi‑Fi network, enter the password, and save.

  • Print a configuration page to confirm the printer has a Wi‑Fi IP address.

Hi Pallipurath.

Thank you very much for the advice. I was able to update the firmware. But also found out wants the printer is connected via the ethernet cable other devices would be able to see the  Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M577 via the router iwifi that it's connected to..

Also the hp smart software is not compatible with this HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP M577 printer, so had to download hp scan to be able to use the scanner via the same router wifi.
