Hi @AMMIE4

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I acknowledge the connection request. Let’s go through the recommended steps to connect your HP Smart Tank 520 printer to your Mac with the M4 chip using the HP App:

Prepare the Printer

  • Ensure the printer is powered on and has paper loaded.
  • Confirm that the wireless light on the printer is blinking. If not, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking.

Download the HP App

  • On your Mac, open the App Store.
  • Search for HP App and install it.
  • Official download link: HP App for macOS

Open the HP App

  • Launch the HP App from your Applications folder.
  • Sign in with your HP account if prompted.

Add the Printer

  • In the HP App, select Add Printer.
  • Choose HP Smart Tank 520 from the list of available devices.
  • Follow the on‑screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi‑Fi network. The Mac must be on the same network.

Complete Setup

  • Once connected, the printer will appear in the HP App dashboard.
  • You can now print, scan, and manage settings directly from the HP App.

This process ensures your printer is properly connected to your M4 Mac using HP’s latest tools.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
