Hi @SAN231,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To factory reset your HP printer, the exact steps depend on your printer model, but here are the most common methods for HP printers with and without a touchscreen:

For HP Printers Without a Touchscreen (like DeskJet or ENVY)

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the following buttons simultaneously:
    • Cancel (X) and Wireless buttons.
  3. Hold for about 10–15 seconds until the printer lights blink or it restarts.
  4. Release the buttons. The printer will reset to factory defaults.

For HP Printers With a Touchscreen

  1. Tap the Settings or Setup icon (gear or wrench).
  2. Navigate to:
    • Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults
    • Or: Settings > Restore Settings > Restore Factory Defaults
  3. Confirm the reset when prompted.

Using the HP Smart App (Any Model)

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.
  2. Select your printer > go to Advanced Settings.
  3. This opens the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
  4. Go to Settings > Restore Defaults > Factory Reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
