HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 All-in-One Printer

I need to manually reboot my printer to the original factory settings. It is stuck on a setting to  "do an alignment of the print heads."  and I cant change by power off or unpluging the machine.

It all started  with not being able to update te firmware issue...................bummer

Hi @0474

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing issues.

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

To restore the printer to the original factory defaults

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Factory Defaults. A message appears stating that the factory defaults will be restored.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Is there another way to manually reboot the printer.

any online changes are blocked….PRINTER BUSY.
