MacBook Pro
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I've been using my printer with macOS Big Sur alright. The MacBook updated the s/w recently to 11.6. Since then the printer is not printing anything. I tried to re-install the HP driver LJCP1020_FW_Upgrade_20201023. However, macOS refuses to install the driver saying that its athenticity cannot be verified. What should I do to get my printer woring again?

Hi,

Download and install below drivers from Apple:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

Once completing the installation add the printer under Printers & Scanners, be sure to select the printer model within the Use drop-down menu and press Add, then try printing.

Hi ShlomiL,

Thanks for the link and advice. Unfortunately, that driver I downloaded from the link you sent me did not solve my problem. The printer HP CP1025nw color does not print. It gave an error called "Stopped - 'Filter' failed"

Further to my previous messages, I tried my HP CP1025nw color printer today with a PC Win 11. It works well as well as with my iPhone using Air Printer mode. However, the printer doesn't still print when I use my MacBook Pro iOS 11.6.3.

How can I get my MaBook Pro to print on HP CP1025nw color printer?

Thanks.

Hi, Let’s try resetting the printing system and check if that may help:

*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.

Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
Select Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system .
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password .
Click OK . The printing system resets.

Now click the plus sign and select your printer, within the Use drop-down menu select your printer model and press Add, then try printing and check for any difference.
