Welcome to HP Support Community, @SUNCOLE

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

How to Install HP Laser 107w on Windows 7 (32-bit)

1. Prepare the Printer

Turn on the printer.

Load paper.

Keep the printer near your PC.

If using wireless, ensure your PC and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.

2. Download the Correct Driver

Windows 7 does not support full-feature software for the HP Laser 107w.
You must install the available basic print driver.

Steps to download:

Go to the HP Support website.

Search for HP Laser 107w.

Select Windows 7 (32-bit) as the operating system.

Download the driver named HP Laser 100–500 UWD Driver V3 or HP Printer Driver V3.

3. Install the Driver

Open the downloaded .exe file.

Follow the setup instructions.

Choose USB connection if you want the simplest installation.

4. Wireless Installation (Windows 7 requires USB setup)

Since Windows 7 does not support HP Smart, Wi-Fi must be set up through a USB cable.

Steps:

Connect the printer to your PC using a USB cable.

During installation, select Wireless Setup.

Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.

The installer will transfer this information to the printer.

Disconnect the USB cable when prompted.

5. Test the Printer

After installation:

Open Control Panel → Devices and Printers.

Right-click HP Laser 107w.

Select Printer Properties.

Click Print Test Page.

If the test page prints, the installation is successful.

6. If Installation Fails

Try either of these backup options:

Option A: Use the HP Universal Print Driver (UPD PCL6)
This driver supports Windows 7 and may work if the main driver does not.

Option B: Install Manually

Go to Devices and Printers.

Click Add Printer.

Select Add Local Printer.

Choose USB001 (Virtual Printer Port for USB).

Under Manufacturer: select HP.

Select:

HP Laser 107 series, or

HP Laser 108 series, or

HP Universal Print Driver PCL6

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
