HP 2050A

Hi

A colleague asked me for help with his HP 2050A device - it wouldnt print docs, only sometimes after Windows 10 restart. Docs are sent to print queue and stay/stuck there.

After doing some analysis noticed that windows 'printers and scanners' page recognizes this device only as scanner - no 'set as default printer' or 'show print queue' options, only 'do scan'.

Updating drivers via HP software or Windows Device Manger brought no relief.

 

However, when unzipped and examined official HP drivers exe bundle for this device, seems there is only scanner subfolder in drivers folder, and that pretty well matches the symptoms described above.

Could someone help to get this device do some printing job, please?
