HP DeskJet 2320 All-in-One Printer
macOS 15.0 Sequoia

Hello,

I reset my Macbook and lost the drivers for my hp deskjet 2320.

I keep hearing of  an Essentials package for deskjet printers. Could I have a link to them?

I don't want HP Easy Start that the website's product support insists I use

HP Easy Start does not help. (It detects the printed but then gives vague error when installing)

HP App does not help (It insists only on Network Printers) (My 2320 has no Wireless functions)

Macbook is up to date

Printing System has been reset

Printer is detected in Settings

Apple's Provided Generic drivers don't work

USB Printer cable is perfectly fine (Same cable printed and scanned before)

Something that MIGHT work for you is the Easy Admin app.

Download it from this link
https://support.hp.com/ee-en/document/c06164609

and then type in your printer. It'll try to find the relevant essentials package for your printer.

In my case I needed an earlier version of the package and it worked

Fingers crossed with all these hit or miss solutions

I have the same problem with HP 2130 and my new MacBook Neo (Tahoe 26).   MacBook detects the printer, but Easy Start just gives error message and suggests retry later.  USB connection worked fine for old MacBook Air from 2015.

Hi @JOLMS and @MichaelH82

Please try to install with the next steps:

(1) Connect a USB cable to Deskjet printer and Mac computer:

Doesn't work for me (acOS Tahoe) as Safari says: The file “Apple_Deskjet_hp-printer-essentials-L5_1901.pkg-2.download” doesn’t appear to be a valid download file."   Thanks for the suggestion though.
