I have a deskjet 2600 all in one printer that refuses to print. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but once installation is complete it asks me to manually install the printer driver and takes me to the Windows Peinter set-up - I then get a message on the printer settings screen saying the printer HP deskjet 2600 series - driver is unavailable.
Tried the HP print and scan doctor and trouble shooter but nothing seems to work.
Grateful for any suggestions.

Hi all , just a quick update on this. Printer still not working, i have read a few posts on here and have tried every possible combination of uninstalling the software and drivers (full uninstalls), resetting the printer, resetting my wi-fi etc. all to no avail. Interestingly, i have connected successfully via my mobile and can print documents etc from there but the laptop seems to just loop through the software installation until i stop it. HP Smart shows the printer as ready but installation status is "not installed" and Windows advises "HP Deskjet 2600 Series - Driver is unavailable". Laptop os a Lenove running WIndows 10.
Any help gratefully received.

that is the same problem I am having with the HP Officejet 3830 - scanner will not work correctly, HP "fixes" state I need the full set of drivers to correct the problem and they have disappeared off the face of the earth! When I load something labeled full drivers and select full drivers, only the basic drivers load. Have received no response to emails to HP and HP tech could not or would not provide the drivers - I have more than one computer-printer team in this situation

I'm having the same problem with my officejet pro 7740
Hopefully someone from HP responds ASAP because I have this device both at home and my office, and with working from home, it's a problem to not have a printer!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
How is the printer connected to the PC?
If the printer is wirelessly connected, obtain the IP address of the printer by:
On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button and the Information button
at the same time.
- On the PC, go to Control panel > Devices and printers > Add a printer(at the top)
- Under 'Choose a device or printer', click on 'The printer I want isn't listed'.
- Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address'
- Find the IP address of the printer by tapping on the wireless icon on the printer screen
- Type in the 'IP address in Hostname or IP address' box, click next
- Proceed to the next steps by following the on-screen instructions.
- Try printing.
If the issue persists, Install the printer using Windows built-in driver
Refer to this document to know how. Try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Kumar, Your suggestion failed for me.
I have a Deskjet 2620 at home and it works fine with my personal laptop and phone, etc; BUT now with Working-from-Home I have my works laptop (to which I am NOT an administrator) and I need to provide works IT Support with the relevant driver for the printer. The help pages pushes me/us towards the HP Smart app but that doesn't over-ride the admin permissions they need in order to install the necessary drivers.
Can you please advise me where to download the HP Deskjet 2600 series printer drivers from. Just the drivers theemselves, not any Smart App or other software, just the drivers.
Thank you

Thank you @Kumar0307
IT had to remote in and extract the driver before installing it. For some reason, despite logging in as Admins, the package wouldn't run properly; but it's all sorted now.
I'm going to be more effective now WfH.
Thanks
