My little printer worked perfectly - printing and scanning - up until yesterday when it stopped connecting to my home network (no changes, hardware or software, to my knowledge).
Now it WILL connect to my HomeHub still, but my PC can't see it and lists it as offline. Pressing buttons for a report gives me a report saying it's connected to HomeHub as usual, but PC can't see that. Instead, I have the WebDirect option of loggin OFF my main internet homehub and hooking up with the printer through a new "Hidden Network"
I used this to go into the settings to disable Webdirect but that didn't work, so used the buttons on the front of the printer to disable WebDirect printing - it doesn't matter what I do now, I can't get it to connect back to the HomeHub network in a way that will let my PC see it.
(PC and printer both connect to HomeHub but can't see one another)
I don't want to have to log off the internet every time I print, that's just NOT practical.
Yes, I've hard reset everything, reinstalled drivers and HP Smart, reset HomeHub - and pressed all the buttons. Can't access it via ip address on the web. Just awful. I work from home (lockdown) in healthcare and have had 2 hours sleep, had an important work thing to print today and I could cry. Please help?

Hi @t_u
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you would like to connect the printer to the PC wirelessly. I'd be happy to assist you.
- Make sure the printer and the MAC are connected to the same wireless network.
- This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
Hold the wireless and the cancel button together for 3seconds to reset the wireless settings on the printer.
Use WPS to connect the printer to your wireless network.
-
Locate the WPS button on your router, but do not press it yet.
If your router does not support WPS, skip to the next step to connect the printer with the HP Smart app.
-
Turn on the printer. If the printer is in sleep mode, press the Cancel button on the control panel.
-
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button
for at least 3 seconds or until the wireless light starts to flash.
-
On the router, press and hold the WPS button for 3 to 5 seconds or until it shows that the WPS connection process has started.
NOTE: The printer stops searching for a WPS connection two minutes after the wireless button is pressed. If you were unable to press the WPS button within that timeframe, attempt these steps again.
Once the printer connects to the wireless network, the blue Wireless light on the control panel turns on solid.
Try printing. Make sure the PC is connected to the 2.4G network.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
