Hello everyone
I came here to ask for help. My first language isn't English so i'll try my best to be clear. The French forum is down so.
I have a HP deskjet 3630 serie printer, and since I moved in my new apartment (8 months ago), I can't print or scan anything. It says ''driver unavailable'' I uninstalled everything, restarted my pc, reinstalled the printer.... Doesn't work. Even HP scan doctor doesn't do anything
Any tips?
Thanks for your help.

Hi @josi2271
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
I understand you are not able to print from the PC.
- How is the printer connected to the PC?
- Check the connections first.
Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win PC
Click here to download and know more about the app.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Hello @Kumar0307,
My printer is connected by wifi
On the printer, the wifi bars are all there .
I tried to do a standalone copy and it worked. When I try to print with the app, it doesn't works.
Thank you for your answer!

Do you get any errors while printing?
- Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
- This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
Print a Wireless Network Test Report
On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button and the Information button
at the same time.
- Obtain the IP address of the printer from the report
- Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer. (Google Chrome)
- If you get any security notification, click on show details/advanced and 'proceed to this website'.
- Go to Tools > Print a test page.
If you are able to access the EWS page, it means the connectivity is fine.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
Let me know how this goes.

Hello!
I changed my PC wifi to the 2.4 one (I was on the 5GHz at first).
I printed the test report and had access to the EWS page to print a test page, which worked.
I tried the HP doctor scan, it says that a driver needed to be installed, so I clicked Continue to install it. Then it says it was done and now ''fully working''. I tried to print, but it says ''unavailable driver'' again.

Alright. So now, the devices are on the same network and communicating with each other as you are able to open the EWS page. Let us try these steps to install the printer.
Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win PC
Click here to download and know more about the app.
If that does not help,
- On the PC, go to Control panel > Devices and printers > Add a printer(at the top)
- Under 'Choose a device or printer', click on 'The printer I want isn't listed'.
- Select 'Add a printer using a TCP/IP address'
- Find the IP address of the printer by tapping on the wireless icon on the printer screen
- Type in the 'IP address in Hostname or IP address' box, click next
- Proceed to the next steps by following the on-screen instructions.
- Try printing in color.
If the issue persists, Install the printer using Windows built-in driver
Refer to this document to know how. Try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello!
I tried both ways, and it still says ''unavailable driver'' in the ''Prints & Scan'' options of Windows
(I know it's in french but it says ''Unavailable driver''
Even with the Smart app print & scan app, and the Windows build-in driver.
With the Windows build-in driver, when we need to select the printer in the driver list, my print wasn't listed. Even with the IP adress.
Thank you for your help and patience. Maybe it's a firewall issue? But my Windows firewall is already disabled...

@josi2271, This is not an issue with the firewall. Let us try these steps:
Clean reinstallation of Pre-installed HP drivers
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
- Select your HP Printer
- Select Uninstall
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
- In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
- Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
- Click on the “Drivers” tab
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
- Select Ok
- Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
- Close Devices and Printers, restart the computer.
Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.
Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know how this goes.

Hello!
I uninstalled the printer and all the drivers with the steps. When I downloaded HP Full-featured driver, at one moment it asked me what I wanted to download so I tried the HP smart app. After downloaded it, i tried to print and it didn't work. So I uninstalled HP Smart app and retried with the other options, the driver only. Now, on the Printer & scan options from Windows, it doesn't says ''unavailable driver'' anymore. It says ''Intervention Required''.
And when I want to print from a website page, in the printers option, the HP Deskjet 3630 is by default and has a green checkmark next to it. It's a good new since it wasn't like this before.
So I tried to print and it doesn't work, even tho it's by default and has a green checkmark. I tried to do a HP Scan doctor scan, and it says it fixed all the problems and issues, but I still can't print. Also, I cleared the print queue.
Have a good day
