Hi @Dibbs1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Based on your description, you're using an HP DeskJet Plus 4122 All-in-One Printer with Windows 11, and you're unable to print from your PC, even though it works fine from your phone. Since you've run diagnostics and confirmed no recent hardware or network changes, this is likely a PC-to-printer communication issue, possibly related to the Windows print subsystem or driver corruption.
Here’s how to resolve this:
1. Restart Core Components
Start with a clean slate:
- Power off the printer, PC, and router
- Wait 60 seconds
- Power on the router → wait 2 minutes
- Then turn on the printer and PC
2. Reset the Print Spooler (Windows 11)
Sometimes print jobs get stuck and block further printing.
- Press Windows + R → type services.msc → press Enter
- Scroll to Print Spooler
- Right-click → Select Stop
- Navigate to: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
- Delete everything inside this folder
- Go back to services.msc → Right-click Print Spooler → Start
Then try printing again.
3. Reinstall the HP Printer Software (Driver Refresh)
Even if diagnostics didn't find anything, the driver may be misbehaving.
- Uninstall your printer:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
- Click your HP DeskJet → Remove device
- Uninstall HP Smart and HP drivers via Settings > Apps > Installed apps
- Restart your PC
- Download and install the latest Full Driver and HP Smart app:
