HP 4520 Series Printer

Ok to start let me clarify that I am having issues printing from both a MacBook and a Samsung Desktop. I have perfectly good cartridges. The wifi set up works perfectly as well, both devices are connected to the WiFi as is the HP 4520 printer. The problem that I keep running into is that no matter where I print from, whether it be MacBook or Samsung Desktop, it keeps printing blank pages when I select black and white. The only thing I've actually got to print out correctly is color text of a document sent to the printer from my iPhone. I have cleaned the cartridges as well through the 2 level cleanse utilizing the HP 4520 touch screen menu. I have aligned the printer, I have also done the print test with the arrows and boxes. Everything seems to check out and everything seems to be communicating correctly only issue is that I keep getting left with blank pages. How can I trouble shoot this issue? I have read through other forums and threads saying that this is a common issue and that replacing the cartridges didn't work, redoing the driver software didn't work, doing a factory reset to default didn't work, and turning off and replugging into the wall and not a power strip also didn't work. I want to postulate it's something with the ink cartridge printer head but it seems to look fine and the HP4520 doesn't say anything is wrong with it. NEED desperate help ASAP as this printer is crucial for business.

I'm afraid this seems like a hardware issue with the printer. The color ink cartridge is working fine. 

Try making a standalone copy in black and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

If you have tried using 2 different black ink cartridges and performed the steps from this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues, but the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
