HP OfficeJet 4655 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

All of a sudden, I have no printer driver installed after years of printing; I'm unaware of doing anything that would uninstall it. And, now the driver won't install. The program sees no USB connected printer (I unplugged and replugged in); tried WiFi connecting and it didn't find my router nor would it let me input the name and password manually. The printer stopped printing by paper jam, but when I'd troubleshoot and then hit cancel, the paper was automatically spit out, no crease, in perfect shape. Copy and scan work just fine. This seems like a stupid reason to buy a new printer.  Please help.

Hi @Jean23,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I suggest that you download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor on the computer connected to the printer.
1. Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/printscandoctor
2. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
3. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.
4. If your printer is not in the list, turn it off and on and then click Retry.
5. If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.
6. If the screen displays prompting to turn on printer updates, click Yes and continue.
7. If the screen displays prompting to make your printer the default printer, click Yes and continue.

I hope this helps.

I have HP Envy 7858

Same scenario as the poster. Tried to install and reinstall as suggested by Scan Doctor, but the update and drivers downloaded does not see to install the driver. Now if I install the printer manually from the control panel-printers and drivers it says driver unavailable.
