Hi @CyraX332,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're dealing with an issue where your HP 615 printer (or a similar model) is showing a warning to fill the ink tanks even after you've refilled them, and the printer won't start printing. This can be frustrating, but there are a few things to check and steps you can take to resolve the issue.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you fix the ink tank warning and get the printer working again:

1. Ensure Proper Ink Tank Installation

  • Check the ink tank placement: Make sure that the ink tanks are properly seated in their correct positions. Sometimes the ink tanks might not be installed correctly, even if they’re filled, and this can cause the printer to show a warning.
  • Reinstall the ink tanks: Turn off the printer, carefully remove the ink tanks, and reinstall them, ensuring they click into place securely. This can sometimes resolve communication issues between the printer and the ink tanks.

2. Check for Ink Leaks or Spills

  • Inspect for ink spills: If you accidentally spilled ink while filling the tanks, it might cause a sensor error or malfunction. Use a clean, lint-free cloth to wipe away any excess ink around the tank area, and check if there are any visible ink leaks or residue on the sensors or around the ink tank chambers.
  • Clean the ink tank and contacts: Make sure the electrical contacts on the ink tank are clean and free from any ink buildup. Gently wipe the contact area with a soft cloth.

3. Reset the Printer

Sometimes, the printer may fail to recognize the refilled ink tanks immediately due to a temporary glitch. You can try performing a hard reset to clear any errors:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source and wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on again.
  • Check if the warning persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
