Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, my printer was working just fine up until late last night when I gave it a series of 5 documents to print by Queue. They printed just fine, but after the action finished I got the message "There is a problem with the printer or ink system" without a specific error code.

I have tried hard resetting it but with no result. Also, I've checked the Printhead Health and its status shows "Good".

Printer: Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One

Firmware v.: MPM5CN1333AR

Software v.: 028.000.1315.000

Printer Driver v.: 09.84.00.1173

Hi @Tedavid

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.

Let's try a power reset on the printer

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Try the steps in the document -Resolving 'Ink System Failure', 'System Supply Problem' Errors

If the error persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
