Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP 7640 Printer Assistant software Scan function, on my desktop, is no longer recognized.  HP  diagnostic  tools doesn't find problem, and will not execute test scan. Recent windows 10 update on 9 Sept 2020..  The Scan to computer function from the printer control panel launches Microsoft Windows Scan and Fax app.  This does work, but with little features as compared  with the HP printer assistant scan app.  Next step is to re-install the HP software.  Any comments?  Also on my laptop, the HP printer assistant icon launched the HP device setup.exe.  I uninstalled the windows 10 previous update (not sure if Ii really had to do so), and re-installed the HP Software.  I now have full capability from my laptop.  Obviously this has been a windows 10 issue.

Followed pretty much the instruction provided.   Re-installed the full web pack.  Printer now responds to all functions, especially replacing the Microsoft windows san and fax function when scan to PC is initiated from the control panel.  On my laptop uninstalling was a bit tedious since actions required to be run as an administrator, which I am as logged on.  However re-loading the full web pack  restored full functionality.
