Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

Trying to install HP 7740 on my MacMini running macOS 12 (Monterey). The computer does not find the printer (System Preferences > Printers and Scanners > Add Printer). I have looked for a driver but have not found one (maybe I'm not looking in the right place?). I can print using HP's e-print, but that does not give me access to the scanning feature. (I do not use fax.)

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you tried printing from a different device? 
  • Are you getting any error messages or codes?

After reading your post, I did go through the Software and drivers for HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Printer and found out drivers are available for macOS 12 Choose a different OS. 
 

To set up a printer for the first time, refer to the article: HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Printers - First Time Printer Setup and https://123.hp.com/us/en/
