Product: HP Officejet Pro 7740
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have installed my new HP 7740 and the corresponding HP Smart app (version 122.3.838.0) last week.  I can scan photos from the HP Smart app without any issue, but I cannot scan from the front panel.

 

I am placing the photo on the scanner glass when I do this. 

 

All the earlier help solutions that I can find reference a Full Feature Software application which I can no longer find. 

 

I appreciate any help.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-7740-wide-format-all-in-...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
