@PunkyP, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wireless Printing Issues for HP 8015e!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP 8015e printer installation is complete and it is connected to your Wi-Fi, but it still won't print from your Mac, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Check the Printer Status:
- Ensure that the printer is powered on.
- On the printer's control panel, make sure the wireless light is steady blue, indicating it is connected to the network.
Ensure Printer is Set as Default:
- On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Ensure that your HP 8015e is listed and is set as the default printer. If not, right-click the printer and select "Set as default printer".
Check for Print Queue:
- Also in System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, check the print queue for any stalled print jobs. Clear these jobs and then try printing again.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer, router, and Mac computer.
- Restart your router first, then your printer, followed by your Mac. This can often resolve connectivity issues.
Run a Wireless Network Test:
- On your printer, navigate to the Wireless menu and select Print Reports > Wireless Network Test. This report can help identify any issues with the wireless connection.
Update Printer Firmware and Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. You can check and update firmware by visiting HP Software and Driver Downloads.
- Also, make sure you have the latest printer driver installed on your Mac.
Re-add the Printer:
- Sometimes re-adding the printer to your Mac can resolve issues. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your HP 8015e and click the “-” button to remove it. Then click the “+” button to add it back.
Check Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer and Mac are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- If you are using a dual-band router, verify that both devices are connected either to the 2.4GHz band or the 5GHz band for consistency.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
