Help.

My printer had a firmware update available. I refused to do the update due to the problems these updates cause.

The firmware update occurred without my permission.

Now my printer shows offline when I need to use it.

I find it time consuming to constantly correct this issue.

There were no changes to my computer, my internet service, my WI Fi to trigger this problem.

My Wi Fi and modem were recently rebooted. The printer was functioning afterwards.

The only thing that happened was that the firmware updates self-ran.

HP Smart Printer Diagnose shows no printer issues.

Hello @tim_piits_2007
To resolve this issue, restart your printer and wifi. Then try removing and adding the printer:

  1. Search Windows for and open Printers & Scanners, select your printer in the list, and then click Remove device > Yes to complete the removal.
  2. With the printer turned on, click Add a printer or scanner to reinstall the printer.

Should this not resolve the issue, follow the troubleshooting here- HP printer is offline or unavailable | HP® Support

Hope this helps!
