The printer icon in the applications Dock on my MacBook Air Laptop used to close automatically after completing a print request buti now it stays on all the time uniess I manually close it.  Is this an intended change in the latest update?  Is there a setting where I can select "automatic close"?

@jubiladopkc, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

It seems like the printer has been added to the dock. If you wish to remove it, click on the icon > Options > Remove from dock.

For more info, you may refer to this document - Use the Dock on Mac

Restart the printer and the Mac and check if the printer icon remains in the dock.

Keep me posted.
