When printing multiple pages, the HP 8030 prints only half pages after the first full page.  Have updated firmware and reset the printer with no change.  The same thing happens when printing on both sides of a page, front side is full, back side is only half.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Would appreciate any solutions.

Hi @Mikes59,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing a printing issue with the HP 8030 printer, where it prints only half pages after the first full page and similar behavior during duplex printing. To attempt to resolve this issue, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Check Paper and Tray Settings: Ensure that the paper loaded in the tray matches the paper size and type settings in the printer driver. Adjust the paper-width guides snugly against the paper stack to avoid misfeeds.

Printer Software Preferences: Open the HP printer software:

  • In Windows, go to Print, Scan & Fax, click Set Preferences.

  • Verify default print settings are correctly configured for paper size, source, and type.

Printing Shortcuts: Use printing shortcuts to quickly set all options with a single click. Ensure that settings for duplex printing, margins, and layout are correct.

Print Quality Settings: Adjust print quality settings if you are using a custom profile or experiencing issues with specific print quality settings, like Draft or Normal mode.

Manual Duplex: For manual duplexing (printing on both sides), follow the on-screen instructions carefully and ensure proper orientation when feeding paper back into the tray.

Driver Update: Confirm you have installed the most recent printer driver specific to the HP 8030. You can check for driver updates through the Official HP® Support.

Clear Print Queue: Sometimes, a stalled print job can cause issues. Clear the print queue to ensure no print job is causing a hang or overlap with new print jobs.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
