Yes, while I was told by HP that my newly purchased HP 8040 All-in-one Printer is not supported by a Windows XP Pro OS, I did manage to download the 8040 drivers. Set the printer up and it does print. The problem is, however, the printer will not print in COLOR, only B&W. Any resolutions?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print in color. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Try making a standalone copy in color and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

If you are using a Windows built-in driver, you may only have limited printing options.
