When I send a document to print from my new Galaxy Book4 Edge to my HP 8120e, it ignores it completely (nothing in print queue), and second time round the queue shows the file 'Printing' which changes to 'Deleted' after a few seconds, and not a squeak from the printer.
Been on the phone to HP and Samsung, they reinstalled drivers and did a factory restore of the laptop, with no result. One interesting error message that came up when trying to reinstall the printer from HP Easy Start (123.hp.com/setup) said it failed to install because PlugPlay failed to start, and when I checked for PlugPlay in Services, it's missing.

Hi @Katy7171,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the issue you're experiencing seems to be related to the Plug and Play (PlugPlay) service on your new Galaxy Book4 Edge, which is critical for detecting and interacting with hardware, including printers. Since the service is missing, the system may not be properly recognizing or communicating with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8122e printer. Here's what you can try:
1. Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully up to date. Sometimes missing system components like Plug and Play can be restored through Windows updates.
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates. Install any available updates, then restart your computer.
2. Restore Plug and Play Service: HP printer setup (Print Service Plugin for Android)
Since the PlugPlay service is missing, you may need to restore it:
3. Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Once the Plug and Play service is restored, uninstall your printer drivers from Device Manager.
- Reboot your laptop.
- Download the latest printer drivers and software from the HP website.
- Follow the installation process again, and see if the issue is resolved.
4. Check Samsung Support:
If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Samsung support again, as this could be a system-specific problem related to the pre-installed software or system configuration on your Galaxy Book4 Edge.
5. Alternative Workarounds:
- Print via USB: Try connecting the printer via USB and see if the issue persists. This can help isolate whether the problem is with the wireless communication or system configuration.
- Use a Different Computer: If possible, try printing from a different computer to see if the issue is isolated to your Galaxy Book4 Edge.

I hope this helps.
