HP OfficeJet 8600 Pro - N911a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer is HP 8600 Pro - N911a

My firmware is actually CKP5CN1829AR and I try to upgrade to the last (and single) firmware from HP support page which is CLP5CN2011AR without success.

I  checked with HP support, but the answer given is : Printer unsupported, buy a new...

Why there is no more link for the firmware CKP5CN1829AR if the last is not applicable for my printer ?

Why I cannot upgrade to CLP5CN2011AR ?

I would like to update because I cannot access anymore to HTTPS embedded webserver part due to expired certificate (without HTTPS I cannot change administrator parameters) .Or is there a solution to replace the certificate with a own certificate ?

Thanks for Help.

Hello,

Thanks if you can assist me.

Yes, I think the last firmware will correct the certificate, but the problem is that is not possible to install this firmware.

I try :

- from printer -> no update detected

- from OJP8600_N911a_2011A.exe (on pc trough ethernet) -> the exe finds my printer but I can not launch the update, the select box is grayed and it displays firmware not applicable

- from sending directly the firmware (coulomb_base_pendiag_pp_CLP5CN2011AR_nbx_signed.ful) to the printer via the shared printer mechanism -> the file is sended but nothing happens

- from EnterpriseDU.exe (from unzipped OJP8600_N911a_2011A.exe) and changing the ini to force update -> I can launch the update but I have quickly an error of the update and the process stops without updating

What I think is, the firmware package is not do for all kind of hardware of HP8600 (I think it is only for the last model of HP8600) or there is an intermediate update to do and it is no more provided.
