I own HP 8610 Officejet Pro.  I purchased the printer in the USA.  I reside in the USA.  I bought a refurbished replacement printhead from a seller in China.  After installation I receive Failed or Missing Printhead.  I 've been through all the suggested steps to clear the error code.  Nothing works.  Does anyone know if a Printhead from China will work in a printer region from USA?  If you know anything about possible region codes for a printhead let me know.  I'm aware of the ink cartridge issue and region code.  Thanks

Hi @Mdkalaska,

The printheads are just manufactured in china if the part number of the printhead is a compatible one it should work.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Error Indicates Faulty Printhead and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for replying.  I've tried all of the HP suggested steps.  I had this same issue with my original HP printhead.  I managed to keep it alive by taking it apart cleaning all contacts and cleaning the head many times.  It's still alive, but print quality was so poor, I eventually decided to buy an refurbished print head.  I'm returning the print head to seller.

Again, thank you for getting back.
