HP 8610 wireless will not load on my computer. Kept receiving error notice of driver not available. I googled a fix, and it stated remove the printer and the system will find it when you go to add it back, but it did not. I tried to add it back, but it did not show up on the list available printers. What to do what to do?

Try these steps;

Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer Software:

  • Disconnect the USB cable from the computer if connected.
  • Uninstall any previously installed HP printer software:
    • Go to your computer’s Control Panel.
    • Open Programs and Features (or Add or Remove Programs).
    • Find the HP Officejet 8610 software and uninstall it.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Reinstall the HP printer software:
    • Download the latest printer software and drivers from the HP Support website.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

Check Network Connections:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to your wireless network.
  • Verify your computer is connected to the same network.

Add Printer via Windows Settings:

  • Open Windows Settings.
  • Navigate to Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click on Add a printer or scanner.
  • If your printer does not appear, click on The printer that I want isn’t listed.
  • Choose Add a Bluetooth, wireless or network discoverable printer and follow the instructions.

Download Printer Drivers Using HP Support Assistant:

  • Install the HP Support Assistant.
  • Launch HP Support Assistant and check for software updates and driver downloads.

Update Network Drivers:

  • Sometimes the issue can be related to your network adapter’s drivers. Make sure they are up to date via Device Manager.

Check Printer and Network Settings:

  • Ensure the printer’s wireless settings are correctly configured.
  • Restart your router and printer to refresh the connection.

Temporarily Disable Firewall/Antivirus:

  • Sometimes security software can block printer connectivity. Temporarily disable it and attempt to add the printer again.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This can diagnose and resolve various issues related to printing and scanning.

I hope this helps.
