Product: HP 9018e
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Having trouble installing HP software for HP 9018e onto MacBook Pro using HP Smart.  When using Smart on MacBook, the app starts up, shows up on screen, searches for printer (blue circle going around and around), and then closes.  Printer and MacBook are on the same wireless network.  

 

When i try to add a printer to HP Utilities, it can not detect/find our printer  I need HP Utilities so we can scan two sided documents to computer and to email and do two sided scan.  I guess the only way to do this is to run HP Smart

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Root level uninstall : please delete from /Users/Username/Library/Application Support/HP Smart. Then delete HP Smart from the Applications folder and reinstall from the Mac App Store
