For PDF files, when I switch from one to two sided printing, the top and bottom margins are greatly increased.  A search shows this has happened with HP printers in the past.  The solution listed was to get the latest correct drivers.  Since I have HP Smart installed,  I have the latest correct drivers (that is according to HP).  It seems that this is a reoccurring problem which ought to be permanently fixed  by HP.

To clarify, you are saying that if you take a 2 page document and print it single sided the margins on the first page are different than the first page when printing as a duplex? Or is the second side margins different than the first side margins? These are two different problems with different solutions so I want to make sure I understand your issue completely before presenting a possible solution.
