Mac 9125e solution to problem of no double sided printing with Mac Sequoia OS and new printer:

HP technician came up with solution after 90 minutes on phone.  There are 19 steps:

  1. Put two single-sided pages in feeder
  2. Go to HP Smart on dock
  3. Pin—click cancel, none needed. The number is inside door on the front of the printer
  4. Print/scan in chartreuse colored rectangle
  5. Scan-- bottom right side
  6. After scan completed, 2 clicks on Save [top of screen in little box with arrow pointing down]
  7. Continue
  8. Save 2 clicks
  9. Go home
  10. Print docs [blue rectangle]
  11. Open top doc in left column of docs
  12. Print preview—small, on bottom center
  13. Continue
  14. save
  15. click on very small gray horizontal curve in middle of screen; looks like a roof.
  16. 2 sided
  17. Long edge—one click, nothing happens
  18. Go back (blue less than symbol, upper left)
  19. print.  I don't know why a company with such a great reputation could not come up with a simpler solution to such an important feature of printing.  Griot99

That sounds painful..

Not related to MacOS -

Just FYI

Perhaps take a look at the Default Print Options in the printer.
