 My HP C410 printer is also permanently stuck on the quick forms screen and I am also looking for the reset option.

 

I would be grateful if you could send me a copy of the private message with the steps that you sent to "pleye" on how to reset to the factory default.

Partial Reset
The partial reset only refreshes the printer into a responsive state and does not delete any setting from your printer. This type of reset fixes printer issues such as an unresponsive printer. Wireless issues, cartridge mismatch and errors and more. I would recommend starting from this type of reset first then if it does not work, try proceeding to a higher type of reset. To to this all you have to do is:

Turn ON the printer.
While the printer is ON. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Wait for 10 seconds.
Press and hold the “#” and “3” keys on the printer keypads while plugging the power cord back into the back of the printer.
Wait for 10 seconds before releasing both keys.
Your printer should now start to reset.
Semi-Full Reset
The semi-full reset fixes a lot of issues. However it removes all the setting on your printer and you need to re-enter all your settings like printer language, wireless setting, etc.. back into the printer once the reset is complete. To do this all you have to do it follow the same process in doing a partial reset but pressing the “#” and “6” keys instead.

Full Reset
Doing a full reset is not really recommended. This is only applicable when all troubleshooting steps has been exhausted. To do this, all you need to is use the “#” and “9” keys with the same process as the the partial reset.

Hi

I have the same problem with the printer stuck in quick forms!

Having looked up the support site I have tried both a semi-full reset and and full factory reset and in both cases once all the info has been entered and logged onto the home wireless network it immediately goes to the fault status with it stuck in quick forms, what do I do???

Unimpressed at the moment, the virtual assistant does not do anything apart from provide stock answers and it appears the only solution is to PAY for telephone support!!!!!!!  Am I missing something??

Additionally when I have gone back and I put in the serial number and press the button the waiting icon comes up and then simply presents me a with a blank page which does not resolve!!!!

Hi 

Thanks for your response, I had read this response in another thread and tried the Partial one with no joy, so did the full reset and had the same outcome, once it has been through all the set-up procedures and alignment of heads, etc, it just comes back to the same error message -

There was a problem connecting to the server. Press (return) to connect again or OK to exit.

if you press return it comes back with the same message and if you press OK it drops into the Quick Forms loop.

 

However, I have just turned it on again to check the message, which was still there. Anyway, I pressed OK to exit and, despite having done this already yesterday and this morning, it finished the reset with out being asked and appears to have reset itself out of the loop with the date and time reset to 0000 and 00 Jan 00, I am unsure why this has now decided to resolve. I will feedback if there are further problems and if it remains OK.

To be honest , I haven’t had this printer in a couple of years , found it cheaper to buy a new printer every few months than buying the ink !! Not that I do that but I was always having connection issues with wifi, landline etc., so I bought a new printer , not HP.  Best of luck , Happy New Year
