Hi,
I would like to ask for instructions on how to do a factory reset on the HP MFP 178nw. From what I see from other posts, it looks like there are some really "TOP SECRET" instructions, that are only send in PM... And since I've tried the Press Wi-Fi and Cancel button on startup of the printer and nothing happend (normally booted up with all the old settings) I'm really frustrated at this point. In the manuals no instructions whatsoever too...
Also, in the HP Smart I can't see my printer on the page of owned printers... It only says 0 owned.
Thank you.

Hi @MrSmithCZ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your frustration. Performing a factory reset on an HP Color Laser MFP 178nw can help resolve various issues and restore the printer to its default settings.
Here are the steps to perform a factory reset:
Turn off the printer: Make sure the printer is turned off completely.
Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons: Press and hold down the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously.
Turn on the printer: While holding down the Wireless and Cancel buttons, turn on the printer. Continue holding down the buttons until the printer's control panel displays "Permanent storage init."
Release the buttons: Once you see the "Permanent storage init" message, release the Wireless and Cancel buttons.
Wait for the reset to complete: The printer will now reset itself to factory defaults. This process may take a few moments.
Set up the printer: After the reset is complete, you will need to set up the printer again, including configuring any network settings and preferences.
After completing these steps, your HP Color Laser MFP 178nw should be restored to its factory settings.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
