HP Color LaserJet M283fdw
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Every page printed all is beautiful but with right 2cm blank from top to bottom.

Both printed from PC or copy from the glass are the same.

If you look closely will see that color Y > M > C > K, Y is much shorter than M and > C and > K.

Color Y's blank length is shorter than 2cm, M is shorter, C is shorter, and K is almost 2cm exectly.

I've change the 2nd roller, plug out and back on the collol card, all are useless.

Firmware updated to the newest.

It can't be the scanner.

Cartridges all are HP genuine.

Can not figure it out what's the problem.

Hi @east2100,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with print quality on your Printer.

A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

C) If the issue still persists, refer to the steps on this link to further troubleshoot.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hi Irwin6, thank you for your kindly replied.

I did every step of your suggestion but still the same.

I myself rule out all these:

1. toner cartridges

2. laser scanner

3. 2nd transroller

doubtful but can't be proofed

1. ECU board

2. HV board

3. power board

I print out a Quality Page  as seen in the picture, there're four different distance from right edge of color CMYK, Y's right edge is the smallest then color M then color C, and color K's right is the longest.

Hope someone can help.
May be Repairatrooper can help, thank you.
