Every time there is a software or firmware update I get the same issue.

 

The solution is to install the old firmware and keep a copy so that when there is an update that is automatic I can go back to the old version.

In addition. If you follow the link to the firmware, there is a description of how to allow firmware downgrades on the printer, and to prevent automatic upgrades. Hopefully, this problem has been sent to the dustbin of history!
