HP M553, Model : B5L25A, Color Laserjet Printer

Install jetdirect 3100w, Model: 3JN69A, on M553 printer. Printer do not detect jetdirect correctly and ask to remove usb device. I try both the top cover micro-usb port and standard usb-a port in the back with same result. Printer had update to the currect firmware 3.9.12 on website.

After some research, I found this hp website that stated that it need firmware version FS4: 4.11.0.1 (or higher).

I couldn't find this version anywhere. Do anyone know how to get a hold this firmware.

Thanks.

If the 3100W does require FS4 then it is not compatible with the 553 any longer as the 553 does not support FS4. There is obviously some disconnect between departments.

I would suggest if you are looking to gain wireless access to the M553 that you consider this product https://www.staples.ca/products/2863898-en-d-link-dap-1610-ac1200-mesh-wifi-range-extender

It is what we setup for clients when they need to connect a non-wifi printer to a wifi network.
