HP Connected Use

Whatever happened to the print facility called HP Connected? I used it with my now defunct HP 7850 printer and it allows remote printing using a designated printer email address for the printer as pert of the printers web services setup like: username@hpeprint.com. When you try to go to the hpconnected.com url you get redirected to HP Smart. When I installed my current Envy 7855 there wasnt any mention of setting up the email but there is a default one shown in the HP 7855 web services info.

Essentially, "HP Connected" was swept up during an (apparently) ongoing reorganization that has included changing the login / website names of some of the classics.

From your response I can see why adding a printer using a Claim Code does not work. Thanks for the info - I might call HP while I am still under warranty to find out more.

OK - I think I completely mangled my response - I did not intend to tell you that you cannot use the claim code to add your printer's email address.
