Hi. I'm using windows 11 and I just resurrected my old HP Deskjet D2460 printer. My laptop don't have a CD drive to install the printer driver from the CD. I searched HP website but the printer is described as retired. Where can I get the driver to download and will it work for windows 11?

The short answer:

No such drivers exist for a Retired printer and Windows 11.

Next,

You might, or might not, be able to find ink.  I did not check.

Next,

The CD disk was crafted for the supported Operating Systems of the time -- even were you to find and install an external CD player, the old drivers on the disk would not likely be useful (or even install) in Windows 11.

Should there be anything "out there", perhaps check the Internet --

There is a high risk of being scammed, of course.

Claims notwithstanding, downloading "stuff you find" on the 'net can be fine, benign, or ruin your life.

Does that mean the printer is useless?

Perhaps -- check and see -- HP cannot provide any help for your quest.

The good news - DeskJet printers are generally economy models - as long as you dispose of the hardware safely, there is little loss.
