Hi @DavidJett,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I understand how important it is to maintain your printer in good working condition, and I’m here to help you with that! Let’s go over how you can perform a cleaning cycle on your HP DeskJet 2852e.
Perform a Cleaning Cycle on the HP DeskJet 2852e:
Check Ink Levels
- Before starting, check that there’s enough ink in the cartridges. Low ink could affect the cleaning process.
Access Printer Settings via HP Smart App or Printer Panel
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select the Printer tab and choose your HP DeskJet 2852e.
- Look for the Printer Tools or Printer Maintenance options, then select Clean Printhead. If you’re using the printer panel directly, navigate to the Setup or Maintenance section.
Clean Printhead from Printer’s Control Panel
- On the printer’s control panel, press the Setup or Settings button.
- Scroll to Tools or Printer Maintenance.
- Select Clean Printhead or Clean Cartridges. This will start the cleaning cycle, which may take a few minutes.
Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor (if needed)
- If you’re still experiencing issues, you can download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website.
- It will help you diagnose and clean printheads automatically.
Repeat if Necessary
- If the cleaning cycle does not fully resolve the issue (e.g., if colors are still misaligned or printing is streaked), repeat the cleaning process once or twice.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
