Hello,

 

I am posting this to request the drivers for a HP DeskJet 6940 unfortunately drivers are not provided when looking for this on the mentioned model, I understand that the website makes the following recommendation "Install the HP Printer Driver and Software provided within your operating system." unfortunately our policies don't allow to download windows updates directly from Microsoft, in this case new drivers are not downloaded to the computer due to policies, that is why I'm requesting either an executable installation or folder with drivers for this printer

 

In the HP community i was able to find a topic that indicated that the drivers for an HP 6600 series drivers would work in compatibility with my printer but it doesn't

 

Please I really need this drives

Thanks for taking the time, I followed your instructions and but unfortunately te computer did not accept the files in the cab file

 

i was able to get the drivers from the old computer and transfer them to the new one, printer is working as expected

Hi,

You may download and install the drivers from the Microsoft Update Catalog to bypass such a limitation:

https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx

 

You may follow below guidelines to use the Microsoft Update Catalog, to locate, download and manually configure your printer driver, please see Method four: Download the driver for later use or use on another computer:
