Hi there, I have a never-used HP DeskJet D2560 Printer that I'm trying to connect/install on a Windows 10 PC

Upon USB connection, the printer appears in "Printers & Scanners", but it says "Driver is unavailable"

I downloaded HP Print and Scan Doctor 5.7.4 which is able to recognize the printer,

but it gives me the message "The full software solution for your product is not installed on this computer" and it gives me this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en

From that link, I was able to download the HP Smart installer, but when I click "Search for Printer" it cannot detect it.

I also downloaded HPEasyStart 16.7.5 which was able to detect the printer, but afterwards it just sends me back to HP Smart Installer.

Already tried restarting the PC, and turning the printer off and on again. Tried using a different USB port too.

I feel very lost and frustrated with HPs unreliability when it comes to installing an older printer on a newer PC

Does anyone know any tips or have any advice?

(PS it's not allowing me to add this product to my account's list of products because when I type the serial number in, an error message pops up that says the serial number is invalid)
