HP DeskJet Plus 4158 All-in-One Printer

I did an update for iOS to Sonoma iOS 14.1.1 23B81. Since the update my "HP DeskJet Plus 4100 series" WIFI  is now offline. With the iOS update, it kicked my printer offline, I have a strong WIFI connection. Exhausted all methods to connect the printer. Perhaps a new driver needs to be released from HP?

I can offer some general troubleshooting steps that might help you with the offline issue on your HP DeskJet Plus 4100 series printer.

 

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off both your printer and iOS device.
  • Turn them back on and check if the issue persists.

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer and iOS device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Confirm that the Wi-Fi signal is strong.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your HP printer. This can usually be done through the printer's settings or the HP website.

Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
  • Forget the current Wi-Fi network and reconnect to it.

Printer Software Update:

  • Check if there's an updated printer software or driver from HP that is compatible with the latest iOS update.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • Reset your printer to its default settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.

Printer App:

  • If you're using an HP printer app, ensure it is updated to the latest version.

Hello,

Thank you for replying.

All noted troubleshooting suggestions have been applied for connecting the HP DeskJet Plus 4100 series, none of the options noted and or troubleshooted worked.

 

This is an iOS issue with "Sonoma 14.1.1" and HP drivers - that are no longer compatible with the new iOS. HP does not have any new drivers to support this issue. My only option now is to roll back my iOS before the update, to regain my connection. HP really should look into this bug fix ASAP.
