Hello, 

 

Windows 10 can't seem to find the driver for HP Deskjet 1280.

Up until this point I have been using the instructions from this post (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/Deskjet-1280-drivers-for-Windows-10-x64/t...) and installing the driver for 1220c. Now even the 1220c driver is missing from the printers list. Here is the list of printers after clicking the Windows Update button.Add printer.PNGAny suggestions? Are there any other compatible drivers?

Hi,

If Windows Update fails to retrieve an updated printer list you may download the drivers from the Windows Update Catalog, be sure to open the catalog from within Internet Explorer browser only, download and extract the Deskjet 1280 drivers  marked for X64, then add those by pressing the Have Disk button and browsing to the extracted folder:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-C4200-All-in-One-Printer-series/3192751/model/319...
