macOS 11.0 Big Sur

After updating my macbook to 11.15.1 my printer is not working as expected. I can not scan any document, it shows blank screen. I tried to  Install HP Easy Start (2.10.0.201112) released Nov 12, 2020. This software asks to to install latest software, then I tried HP Smart. But HP Smart can not find my printer connected through USB. Can any one resolved this issue?

Hi,

Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.

Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

 

As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference.

Thanks, I reinstalled the driver and followed your instruction, except I did not find any uninstall option in HP Easy Start. Then I uninstall using HP Uninstaller tool which I found on this forum.

 

Unfortunately still I can not scan, it shows "You do not have permission to open the application HP Scanner 3" and "Failed to open a connection to the device (-21345)"

 

What to do now?

Please check below support document, launch both HP Scanner and HP Scanner 3 within the Library folder and then check for any difference:

I spent hours to find this solution and almost buy new printer. HP should fix the UX because the menu is hidden. Thank you so much!
