Hi. I have a HP Deskjet 2800e Printer. Portrait printing is fine. However, when I print landscpe, the margins get cut off, I have tried adjusting the margins, trying printing fit to scale, nothing works. Am using Libre Office writer to print. If I convert the doc to PDF, then print Landscape, Fit to scale, that works fine.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated

Sincerely

Welcome to the HP Community --

Thank you for posting your question!

You can perhaps print the original document in the orientation you want if you increase / set all the margins to 1/2 inch (12.7 mm).

Should that not work for any reason, use the method you have discovered:

Export the document to PDF.

Print "Shrink to Fit" or similar depending on your PDF printing app.

The following is relevant to using a DeskJet Printer.

Reminder

At this writing, DeskJet printers require a larger margin along the bottom edge --

12.7mm (1/2 inch)

Borderless PrintingNo
Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3 mm

There is no software, firmware, or alignment that changes the larger margin requirement.

The generally suggested solution to prevent chopped content is to keep all data inside of 12.7mm (1/2 inch) on the bottom edge, including all page numbers, footer information, or other notations.
