When I moved to Mexico, HP helped to set my region so the printer could use the 122 cartridges available.  It has worked well for several years.  I just bought 2 XL replacement cartridges that must be 61's, set for US usage.   Can I switch my printer back to US region so I'm able to use these new cartridges?

I understand you moved, and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.

 

NOTE: regional reset is attempted on a best-effort basis, it might not work on all printers. 

If this does not work, we cannot re-attempt it as it may brick the printer. 

 

However, If you want to try once again we may not recommend it as it may brick the printer. 

 

 

However, if you are willing to take a chance, then need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

 

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
